Two Sweaters for My Father
by Perri
Klass This is a happy little take along book for some very enjoyable reading. Ms. Klass is a pediatrician who has written stories and essays since childhood. This book is a compilation of several of her knitting articles and essays through the years in different publications/magazines. She writes a monthly article for Knitter’s Magazine, and has also written and had published several novels and stories for newspapers and magazines. There are no projects in this book. There are only stories about why we knit, why it matters, and why it connects us to ourselves and others. In an article written shortly after 9/11, the seriousness of our security systems is shown with wit and candor. All knitters who fly can identify. I love taking this book along to the Dr’s office or when I know I am going to be waiting for someone or something. You can pick it up and put it down without loosing track because of the way it is put together. This would be a wonderful gift for a knitting friend. Review by Teresa Barrett |
