Bead Crochet Patterns by Ann Benson
70 Unique Design Patterns For Round Tubular Bead Crochet, softcover, 9pgs, $9.95, BeadsEast, PO Box 1315, Manchester, CT 06045, www.beadseast.com

Ann Benson has created a small little booklet of tubular patterns for those who want to make ropes with graphed designs.   There are graphs provided for 6, 7 and 8 beads-around.  Her examples are worked in 11/0 beads, however, she also provides beads per gram for size 15/0, 8/0 and 6/0 beads along with an equivalent of rounds per inch.  These bead sizes are extremely popular today.

The patterns are diverse; diagonal, stripe, and dots to patterns that appear to be floral.

Each graph includes a color photo of a rope section, a graph of the repeat pattern section, number of repeats for a 7" tube, and number of beads for each color for the 7" tube.  Included is a graph depicting
the repeat pattern for 15 rounds for a better visualization.

Instructions are at the back of the booklet for bead single crochet with step-by-step illustrations and photos that are very clear and easy to understand.   How to join the tube from one end to the other is explained with illustrations and instructions.

If you prefer to make ropes with bead slip stitch, you can use these same graphs.  There is a blank graph provided for 6, 7 and 8-around you can copy and make you own patterns.

You can pop this little booklet into your purse or workbag and take with you.  Ann has made a superb little pattern book that all bead crocheters will want.
