Back to Beadin' by Barbara E. Elbe

B.E.E. Publishing, 556 Hanland Court, Redding, California 96003, ISBN 0-9653622-1-3, softcover, 80 pages

Elbe's book is primarily brick stitch designs for amulet purses and earrings. How-to graphics are included. These designs include birds, florals and lots of dangles. There is also a description for making a crocheted cord for a bracelet, necklace and key chain. The graphics show you how to pull up a bead and placement. Right Angle weave and Daisy Chain are also graphed out with a project to complete. If brick stitch is your love then you will want this book. My interest was in the step-by-step graphics to create the Herringbone Weave. Each step is very clear and a purse pattern and instructions included. The graphics for this weave will be easy for my students to use as a follow up reference and worth them purchasing the book. This weave is also illustrated in Those Bad Bad Beads by Virginia Blakelock and called the Ndebele Herringbone Weave.
